LIFE IN MALTA IN NEOLITHIC TIMES
Neo means "new" and "Lithic" coming from the Greek word Lithos that means stone's. Therefore Neolithic means "New Stone Age."

The remains found by archeologists, throw light on how life in Neolithic Times was like. This shows the importance of geology (The study of rocks) and archaeology. Without such remains we would not have any evidence about life in Neolithic times.

We can recognize Neolithic people from other people, from the shape and decoration of the pottery remains.

Neolithic people first lived in caves and later went to live in huts, which they built using sticks, branches of trees, stones, dry grass, clay and mud.

The Neolithic people were very skilled and most of them were; - hunters, fishermen, builders/masons, farmers, shepherds, stone-dresser/decorators and very good artists.
