The functions of the School Consultative Council are: (a) To provide a forum for the teachers and the parents to identify and discuss any matters - whether educational, administrative or otherwise - which are relevant to the day to day running of the School and the quality of education provided to the pupils across all the sectors at the School (b) To make recommendations to the Heads of School and/or the School Board for the continuous improvement of the educational standards at the School and for the benefit of the pupils, parents, teachers and staff at the School (c) To encourage and create opportunities for parent and teacher participation in School activities and extra-curricular events (d) To develop, with the help of relevant teaching staff, activities which are educational for parents and teachers (e) To perform such other functions as may from time to time be mandated to it by the School Board. The SCC is composed of seven parents, two from Early School (two from Middle School and three from Senior School) and three teachers (one from each sector of the School). The following are some of the areas that the SCC have been working upon:
- Health, Safety & Security
- Parental Involvement and lifelong learning
- Enhanced communication between the School and the parents
- Specific school policies.
